Review

Where to begin? Just one month ago I read another book by Jo Watson called ‘Love to hate you‘ and I really loved that one. It was probably one of my favorite books of January 2021. But after reading this book I think I’ve found an author I really like because this book was amazing. I think it was even better than the first book I read and I thought that was impossible. I never give a book 10 out of 10 but I was so close to giving this book the highest rating.

Yes, it was really that good. First of all, I just love her writing style. After two books I know now that I just can’t put down her books. I just can’t! It never gets boring. Of course, this is a good thing but not so good for my sleep. Luckily, it was a Saturday night and I didn’t have to go to work the next day.

And I also think the storyline is great. Poppy tries to get a job and lies to her new boss. And the whole story was just so cute and funny. I love those kinds of those books. Sometimes I just need something cute and funny to forget the rest of the world and my ‘problems’. I also like that this book took place in South Africa. Normally the books I read take place in the UK or America, so this was a nice change.

Luckily, I also found out that she wrote a lot of books (more than 10) so I think I am going to find and buy those (e)books too. I want to read more of her. I want to find out if her other books are as good as this one. Honestly, there wasn’t a thing I didn’t like about this book. If you like also romantic, cute, and funny stories read this book! Especially when you are also a fan of Jill Mansell her books.

Fun fact: I was just thinking about how her books would be really amazing movies. Not much later I read on her Goodread pages that she writes her books to become movies. At least, that is one of her dreams. So yes, I am really hoping for this to happen!
