As you all know, Coronavirus is affecting a lot of people at this moment in the world. In Europe, almost every country is on lockdown including my country The Netherlands. That means that almost everything is closed until April 6th. Schools are closed, gyms, restaurants and so on. I can only go to work and to the stores.
It is now Monday, March 16th and it is the first official day of the lockdown and it feels weird. It is also very quiet outside (especially in the evening) and it is not recommended to visit friends and family. So I have a lot more free time on my hands and in this blog posts, I am sharing what my plans during the Corona lockdown are. Most of my plans are focused on self-improvement. Maybe I can also inspire you to do the same thing. So that after the lockdown we are better versions of ourselves.
Less social media
I am really experiencing FOMO (fear of missing out) right now. I want to know what is going on in the world. But at the same time, I am now using the internet way too much and it is not very good for my mental health. So on Sunday evening when they announced the lockdown, I realized that I have to step back and stop using the internet so much. I don’t need it. So I decided that I am still going to use the internet so I can write blogs and use my Instagram account but that is all.
Hopefully, my mental health will improve soon and hopefully I will feel better soon.
Yoga and exercising
I noticed that a lot of people are saying that sitting at home is making them more hungry and I also noticed that. But summer is coming up and hopefully, we can all enjoy summer outside. I want to take my bike and go somewhere. That is the reason why I don’t want to sit at home and wait for summer and the lockdown to be over. Nobody knows how long this is going to last. So I am also focusing on getting fit so I will feel better in my own skin. I am now doing the 30-day yoga challenge and maybe I am going to add some light exercises too.
One of my biggest dreams is to become a full-time blogger/Youtuber. And now I really have the time to take some action. I am going to write more blog posts and I will improve my older blog posts too. And I also want to make extra videos for YouTube. Of course, I still have to go to work every single day but I think I can do it.
And I think this is a great time to sit down and think about what you really want in life. See this as an opportunity to change your life if you are not completely happy. And if you are really getting bored during this lockdown, you can always pick something from my Lockdown to-do list.
I think this is my main goal. At the beginning of the year, I was feeling very happy and I was smiling constantly. Maybe it was just the new years’ vibe, I don’t know. But I know that I want that feeling back. So I am also going to focus on that, on the spiritual side of life.
I am going to meditate more often and start using affirmations. And of course, I will continue with this routine after the lockdown if it’s working for me.
