About the unhoneymooners

Ami is getting married to Dane. Her twin sister Olive is a little bit jealous that Ami is always so lucky. Even her wedding is amazing and it didn’t cost her a thing. She won it all in a contest. Olive and Ethan (brother in law) are the only two people who didn’t eat the fish for dinner. And now they are the only two people who are not feeling sick. Ami and Dane can’t go on their honeymoon because of food poisoning. So they insist that Olive and Ethan go on their honeymoon. Olive doesn’t like Ethan just something happened years ago but a vacation is what she needs right now. So together they go to Maui where they become closer and closer.

Review

This is probably one of my favorite books this year. It has everything that a good romance novel needs: a cute love story, a huge fight, and make-up sex.
Olive hates Ethan but Ethan secretly likes Olive from the first moment he met her. I mean, he remembered what she was wearing the first time, many years ago. That is how you know that it is true love (well at least in movies and books).

I was a little bit disappointed in Ethan when he believed his brother Dane instead of Ethen but I forgive him that. He really sounded like the perfect boyfriend or husband to be. He sounded like he could be my type and that is why I probably liked him so much.

This was the first time I read a book by Christina Lauren but I already know that this is not going to be my last one. I liked her writing style. It is a perfect book for spring and summer when the love is in the air or just when you need a book that will lift your mood. Because I was really feeling their emotions.

The only thing I didn’t like is that this book has an ending. I wasn’t ready to leave Ethan and Olive behind. ~ I know I am a little bit dramatic but it is true.
These are the books that I like the most. Sure I like a good thriller like Eeny Meeny but books like this one really lift my mood. This was exactly what I needed right now during the Corona quarantine because there is no time for dating right now.

Definitely a recommendation if you like romance and cute stories.
