How to make 2023 the best year (so far)

2023 is a few days old. How are you doing? Are you on track with your goals? Are you working towards your dream life? Remember you can start over any day. Failing is not a bad thing as long you are not giving up. Give yourself the life you want. You probably want to have a wonderful year filled with love, success, and healthy. Today, I am giving you tips on how to make 2023 the best year. Because you are in control of most things.

How to make 2023 the best year

Never give up. I already mentioned it above, but you should never give up. If you really want it, then never give up. There is this story about a man who wanted to find gold. He bought a machine and started digging in the ground. After a very long time, he just gave up because he couldn’t find it. Someone took over his machine and started digging at the same spot and he found the gold. Turns out, the guy was really close to finding gold but he gave up too fast. Remember this story in case you have a bad day and you just want to give up.

You are the creator. There are things you can’t control, but there are still so many things you do control. You control how you respond to certain things and you can also decide and create a fun life. You don’t have to be rich to do this. Take time each day for yourself and do something you like to do. Make yourself happy. And when you are feeling happier, more good things will happen to you.

Stay focused on your goals. If you have a few goals for 2023, stay focused. Don’t let other things distract you. In my case, I deleted some apps that were distracting me and I made a tight schedule for myself so I stay focused on my goals. Because as soon I get bored or have a bad day, I start doing the wrong things and sometimes it takes days to snap out of it. Try to remember what you want to accomplish this year. Put reminders on your mirror or on your phone.

Make yourself happy. The only person who can make you happy is you. It is not your partner or a friend. I also learned that happiness is kind of a skill. It is something you have to practise. You can change your mood by visualizing your dream life. Close your eyes and think of good things. Do this every day and eventually, you will start feeling happier with your eyes open too. 

Don’t be too hard on yourself. Everyone makes mistakes or has a bad day, so be nice to yourself no matter what. Accept you’re not feeling good and take the time to feel instead of pushing yourself too hard to be happy. Just go with the flow, listen to your body and what it needs. You don’t have to do a million things. Just pick the things that make you feel good. Take the time to recharge. Accept yourself. Stop comparing yourself to others.
