How to change your life?

Do you wish you could start over and start a new life? Are you bored with your current life and you want something else? It is totally possible and it is never too late to change, no matter what your situation is right now. It is definitely possible to live a completely different life in just a few months? The idea I could change my life and be somewhere else in just a few months sounds exciting, very exciting. I am working on it right now, but you can do it too. In this post, I show you how to change your life.

How to change your life?

Know where you are and where you want to go
The first step is very easy. All you need is some paper, a pen or maybe your phone and some time for yourself. And really take the time to do this. First, you write down where you are right now. Write everything down. Where do you live, what kind of job do you have and what is your relationship status? It depends if you want to change your whole life situation or just be a part of it. If you just want to change your career, then maybe it is not necessary to write down your relationship status. Unless you are moving and you realise you want to be single. That happens sometimes. Just write everything down.

Then the fun part comes in. Just think about your dream life. What would that look like? What kind of job do you have, what kind of house do you live in and are you alone or are you in a relationship. Really take the time to figure this thing out. Sometimes it helps to think about the things you don’t like and pick the opposite of it. And remember, it has to be your ideal life, not someone else’s.

Make a plan
If you want to change your whole life, you need to come up with a plan. Write down what the most important goal is to you and focus on that first. I use my life situation as an example. There are a couple of areas I want to work on. I want to change my job situation, I want to meet new people and I want to move. For me, the job situation is the most important goal, then I can move to a new city and meet new people. It is possible to focus on all of your goals, but it can become a little bit overwhelming.

Work on your goals every day
Most people have a dream but they never take one single step or they take the first step and that is it. At this point, you already know what you want and you have a plan. Now it is time to take action. Because most of your dreams will not come true while you are sitting on your couch watching Netflix. No, it is not always going to be easy. You are going to be busier and will have less time to watch Netflix and do other things. A way to motivate yourself is to remind yourself why you are doing this. Why do you want to achieve this goal? A way I motivate myself is when I visualize/daydream before I get up in the morning.

It does not matter what your goal is, you should do something that will bring your closer to that dream every single day. Some people have 5 hours to work on their dream every single day, others just one hour. But that hour is more than most people who will never work to make their dream come true. No matter how small your step is that day, it will bring you closer to your goal.

Feel good and have fun
I mentioned that it is not going to be easy, but it will be easier when you are having fun. I am really enjoying the time I work on my dreams. I work several hours on my dreams and I really like doing it. But if you notice that you are not having fun, ask yourself first if this is what you really want. Because if that dream will come true, you have to do it every single day. Can you see yourself doing that? Then go for it, Have fun with it. Don’t put too much pressure on it. I have a to-do list of things I want and have to do, but I don’t say to myself that I have to finish 3 tasks. I just start and see where I end. That is also a way how I keep it fun.

And I am also a believer in The Law of Attraction. If you are constantly complaining, frustrated and angry, you will attract more things that will frustrate you. I’ve been there and it seemed everything went wrong in my life. But I decided to turn it around and I paid attention to what I was thinking and how I was feeling. That helped me a lot and suddenly I started to feel more relaxed and happier. And suddenly I started to enjoy life again. And I started to attract more good things into my life, not only with my business but also in my personal life. And whether you like the law of attraction or not, it is always better to feel good than bad right? That alone is a big enough reason to start feeling good and having fun.

I would also suggest reflecting now and then. You can look back and see if you are making progress. Especially when you are working with numbers. Maybe you started a webshop and you can see how many people are buying things. Maybe you try a different marketing technique and find out if that works or not. There is no one road to success.
it is also good to check in with yourself. Ask yourself how you are doing and what you can do better. Maybe you wished you handled a certain situation differently.
