What is the Law of Attraction? (+tips)

A lot of people are using terms like ‘Law of Attraction’ or ‘Manifesting’ these days, but what does that even mean? If you are new to the Law of Attraction, welcome! In this blog post, I am going to explain how I discovered the Law of Attraction and what it is. I will also give you a few tips about how you can start manifesting right away.

How I discovered the Law of Attraction?

Until a few years ago I’ve never heard of it. But one day I was staying home from university. At this point in my life, I was not doing well. I had a burn-out, was feeling very anxious, had panic attacks and I was feeling depressed because of that. Not the kind of place you want to be. I decided to go watch videos on YouTube and I opened the website and there it was: The secret documentary. Someone put the full documentary on YouTube and I was curious. I just saw the thumbnail but that still convinced me to click on it. I watched the whole documentary and I was blown away. But if you think it changed my life overnight, then you are wrong. Some people find it very easy to attract and other needs to work on themselves first. Keep that in mind. It took me a very long time to master it. Along the journey, I managed to manifest a few smaller things though.

What is the Law of Attraction

The idea is that with the Law of Attraction you can achieve and attract anything you want in life. If you want to have more money, that is possible. If you want to be in a new relationship, that is also possible. Anything is possible with the law of attraction. I would recommend watching ‘The secret’ documentary on Netflix as soon as possible. That explains it more. Although the documentary is focused on manifesting money, you can still use this law to manifest other things too.
There are three steps in manifesting things into your life:
– Ask
– Believe
– Receive

The first step is pretty simple. You just have to find out what you want. Maybe you want to attract a new love interest or maybe a new car. It does not matter. I would recommend if you are new to the law of attraction to start with just one thing, probably something small. Manifesting one thing at a time means you only have to focus on one thing. And it is smart to start with something small because it is easier to believe in things that are considered small. A lot of people start with manifesting a free cup of coffee or tea.

Step two is more challenging because you have to believe that you will get it. The thing is nobody knows when it is going to show up. Sometimes it just takes two hours and sometimes it takes two months or even a year. But during this time, you should believe in it no matter what. This means you can never give up on your dreams. To make this a little easier, you can start using affirmations. If you repeat the same affirmation every single day, you eventually start to believe it. This means you are reprogramming your mind.
Some people do not find it easy to believe in it, be patient and kind to yourself. It will show up.

While a lot of people struggle with step two, I kind of struggle with step three. Receiving sounds very easy. But you have to be in alignment if you want to receive the good things. A lot of people compare this with the frequency of a radio station. If you want to listen to a different radio station, you have to change the frequency. The same thing applies to manifesting. If you are constantly attracting the bad things, it is time to change your frequency. Find a way that will make you feel better. There is a whole frequency chart (see image below) and you can use that to feel better. You can’t go from feeling angry to Joy in one minute, it is easier to go from anger to worry. Worrying is still not great, but at least it is better than being angry. And from there you can go to impatience and after that feeling those more positive emotions. Remember to take your time. This is also something you want to work on every single day. Find a way to do something fun for yourself, something that will lift your mood. I would recommend doing this every single morning because that sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Tips for manifesting

Manifest good feelings instead of material things. If you focus on materialistic things and you want to manifest money but you are also constantly reminded of the fact you don’t have money then it is really hard to manifest money. When you desperately need money, you are likely not to manifest money. As you can see on the frequency chart, Despair is the lowest. So my best tip if you are struggling with this, try to manifest good feelings. This is a smart way to manifest your dream life. First of all, you will feel better and happier. And second, when you are enjoying life, you are at the top of the frequency chart which means it is easier to attract. And in that state, you can manifest anything you want, including money.

Don’t obsess over it: there was a time I became obsessed with manifesting things and as a result, I did not get those things. When you feel desperate, leave your manifestation alone and try to change your frequency. Some people are using tons of Law of Attraction tools like the 55×5 method or visualisation. But remember, it has to feel good. If it does not feel good, stop doing it.

Read more books about the Law of Attraction. A great way for me to raise my frequency (vibration/mood) is to read books about the law of attraction. After reading a book about that, I feel hopeful and if you come from a place of worrying, that is a great step in the right direction. But again: it has to feel good.

    Having had years of practical experience with Law of Attraction, I am happy to see your take on it. For I think your statement that “manifest good feelings instead of material things” is right on the money, so to speak. By always focusing on feeling good, while ignoring or downplaying all those feelings of “lack”, you are giving yourself the best chances of success with the Law of Attraction.
