Here’s to us

This is the sequel to ‘What if it’s us?’. In the first book, you could read about how Ben and Arthur met in New York at the post office and how they fell in love. But Arthur went back to his hometown and at first, they still had contact, but in the last few months, there wasn’t any contact at all. Arthur and Ben both have a new boyfriend too. Everything is going okay until Arthur comes back to the big city. Ben and Arthur start hanging out again. Will they find out they have still feelings for each other or are their current relationships strong enough?

Review

One or two years ago, I read the first book. I really liked that one, so I obviously wanted to read this one too. I wanted to know how their love story was going to end. I think it is pretty cool two authors decided to work on these two books. And you don’t really notice it. It is not like one chapter is really good and the other is really bad. They are both great writers.
I already knew Becky Albertalli because of the ‘Simon vs the homosapiens agenda’, but I am going to admit that I’ve never read other books by Adam Silvera. It is still on my wishlist. Hopefully, I will find the time to read one of them. There is one book called ‘They both die at the end’ that I really want to read soon.

I have to say that the last part of this book was my favourite part. I almost cried a little. I don’t know if that is just my hormones speaking or because it was actually really beautiful. I think it was a mix of both. I finally know how their love story ends and I am happy. It didn’t let me down. But although this book is mostly about Ben and Arthur, I really liked the parts about Samantha and Dylan too. I would love to read a book about their love story, even though I already know how they met and everything. Although, I think that book would probably be very chaotic because Dylan’s brain is weird and cool at the same time.

This book makes me want to go to New York and maybe I should one day. Who knows what is going to happen? Also, if you want to read this book, make sure you have read the first one. I think it would be harder to read this one without reading the first book.

Adam and Becky did a great job on this book too. Sometimes the sequel is not so good, but I liked this one. I can recommend it to everyone, even the older generations. I know the books are about two teens and their relationships, but it is still fun to read. They are not annoying teenagers.

– I finally know how their love story ends
– The ending was beautiful
– Every character in the books is likeable

Things I did not like about this book:
– This is probably the last book about Ben and Arthur
– I wanted to read more about Samantha and Dylan
