In season 4 could see how the professor saved his girlfriend Lisbon from getting into prison. He even managed to get her back at the bank, where the others of the gang also are. We also could see that Nairobi was killed by the security of the bank. And that is where season 5 starts. They are still at the bank but it is getting more tricky. Alicia Sierra found the professor, so he is not able to communicate and help the others. Nobody knows what they have to do now, especially when Arturo decides the be the ‘hero’.

Season 4 came out 1.5 years ago and to be honest, I forgot most of what happened. So watching the first episode of season 5 was pretty confusing. And there were only 5 episodes in part one of this season. It looked very chaotic and I think that pretty much sums up this season. It was chaotic because the gang had no idea what to do anymore, especially after the professor said there isn’t a plan anymore. They tried to get extra time to figure out what to do next.
But I missed this series so much. Yes, it took me a while to get back into this again but after the first episode, I couldn’t stop watching it. It is still really good. The last episode of part one was pretty shocking and I would have never thought that I would miss Tokyo. I really didn’t like her at the beginning of this series. Nairobi was always my favourite, but she was killed in season 4. But I guess they had to make sacrifices to save the others and of course make the series a little bit more believable. But I am feeling so sorry for Rio now.
I am so going to miss this series when part two comes on the 3rd of December. I believe this is one of my favourite series because it is so well-written en the professor is so smart. Every time you think this is going the wrong way and they will get arrested, they have another plan. And the actors are just so good and believable. I can’t wait to see what is going to happen in part two. I have this feeling there are going to be more than just 5 episodes. They have to! I mean, will they escape the bank with all of the gold? What happens next? What happens with Alicia Sierra. What has Berlin, son, to do with all of this. We saw some flashbacks from Berlin and his son. Is he the one who is going to help them escape? Will Arturo survive? I have so many questions. I really hope they can answer all of them in the last part. I will be so angry if they don’t.
If you haven’t seen this series, try it. Normally I prefer romance and comedy series, but this is too good to skip watching it. I really believe most of the great Netflix series is Spanish. I loved this one a lot and I also loved ‘Vis a Vis’, which is basically the Spanish version of ‘Orange is the new black but better.
