Falling for Christmas
Sierra is the daughter of a hotel owner and she is about to get a job at the firm, she does not even want. Her boyfriend Tad is a social media influencer and when they are together on a mountain, he proposes to her. But not even a minute later, the wind is getting stronger and they both fall from the mountain. Sierra hits a tree and was found by the owner of a small Inn. She has no idea who she is, so in the meantime, she is staying at the lodge with Jake, his daughter, and his mother-in-law. The more time they spend together, the more feelings they are getting for each other.
Review
First of all, I am so happy to see Lindsay Lohan in a movie again. When I was younger, she was one of my role models and it was just sad what happened to her. I was so happy to see her again, happy and healthy.
This is the first new Netflix Christmas movie of 2022 and I was pretty excited to watch it. I put up my Christmas tree on the first day of November and I definitely wanted to watch a Christmas movie. Honestly, if you would tell me this was a Hallmark movie, I would have believed you too. Because it definitely gave me those Hallmark movie vibes. Those movies are super weird, but at the same time, you love it. I had that feeling with this movie too. I also feel like I have seen literally a similar movie before.
Maybe I was just too happy to see Lindsay Lohan again, but the cringe stuff did not bother me at all. And I remember Netflix has made more Christmas movies like these, which were awkward, and back then it bothered me sometimes. But it also can be very fun because you can laugh about the cringey parts. I would definitely recommend watching this with a friend and making fun of those weird moments.
It was definitely not the best Christmas movie. I feel like Netflix releases a lot of Christmas movies and only one is really good. I liked the movie ‘Love hard‘ last year and the year before that I liked ‘Holidate‘ a lot. So I am pretty hopeful there will be a great Christmas movie this year too. Although, Falling for Christmas was not bad either if you love Hallmark Christmas movies. I watch movies because I want to be entertained for an hour or two. As long it is entertaining, I am happy. I think this movie was entertaining enough.
The acting was all right, but there were awkward scenes sometimes. But the story was heartwarming too. It definitely gave me the holiday season vibes and it made me even more excited for Christmas.
