Death to 2020

The makers of Black Mirror are back and they are looking back on 2020. Take a look back at the mad glory of the year 2020 in this comedic retrospective. They talk about Donald Trump, The elections, Brexit, Boris Johnson, Black Lives Matter, and of course corona.

Review

I had absolutely no expectations when I decided to watch this mockumentary. I even had no idea what this docu was about, but I guessed it was with people who were looking back at 2020 and the things that happened in 2020. But honestly, I thought it was going to be more serious.

The intro was amazing. So many great jokes and sometimes it was just hard to keep up with. I hard to press pause a couple of times. I just had to process the jokes for a minute. There were just a lot of jokes.

This is apparently called a mockumentary. I had no idea this genre existed. They were mocking everything that happened in 2020, but I have to say that it was only focused on the U.S.A. and England and a little bit of China, but that was only because they think the coronavirus started there. But this is really made for people from the USA and England and they forgot about the rest of the world apparently. Too bad! They mostly talked about Donald Trump and Boris Johnson, a little bit of Meghan and Harry. I was still hoping they would also talk about the rest of the world but they didn’t.

Luckily, it was about the elections, corona, and Brexit. So I still got most of the jokes. It was still a fun way to look back on 2020. But if you don’t want to hear anything about the elections, corona, and Brexit at this moment, don’t watch this. Also, I have to say that this mockumentary is not for everyone. They are really mocking Boris Johnson and Donald Trump. I can understand that Donald Trump and Boris Johnson supporters wouldn’t like this unless they can handle criticism and these jokes.

The jokes were funny and it was a fun way to look back on 2020 (as an outside), but I didn’t like that it was only focused on the USA and England.
