Two parents had a lot of fun before they got kids and now these days they say no to everything. After a terrible parent-teacher conversation, they meet this guy who introduces them to yes day. On yes day, you say yes to everything. Of course, you can set rules but on this day you supposed to have a lot of fun with your kids.

Oh men, after watching this movie I wished I had kids so could have a yes day. This seems fun and this whole movie made me smile. Let’s begin with the story. The story is great and is based on the book written by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and it is about parents who have to say ‘no’ constantly to their kids. On Yes day, the parents have to say yes. Of course, you can set up a few rules so it doesn’t cost way too much money or is illegal.
The cast was also amazing. I just love Jennifer Garner’s movies. But I also think that Jenna Ortega is a wonderful actress. I’ve seen her before in the popular Netflix series ‘You’ but she is also amazing in this. Hopefully, we will see more of her in the future. A little side note is that I think the kids in this movie were a little spoiled and a bit annoying. They don’t like it when their mom constantly tells them ‘no’ but that is how you learn boundaries.
I think this movie is just perfect for a family movie night. But of course, don’t watch this with your kids if you don’t want to have a ‘yes day’ for you and your family. Because I think that kids will definitely want to have a yes day after watching this movie. I mean, it sounds fun. We say ‘no’ way too often and we forget to have fun. Life should be fun. Of course, other more serious things are important too but having a yes day once a year sounds fun.
If you don’t have kids, there is a possibility you won’t like this movie. But I have no kids and I still enjoyed it. Don’t watch this if you are in the mood for Oscar-worthy. This isn’t an award-winning movie, but it is just fun to watch. And you can always watch ‘yes man’ with Jim Carrey if you still want to watch a movie like this.
