things I want to do this winter


I can’t believe it is already December. That means the holidays are around the corner and that also means I have two weeks off from work very soon, which is very exciting! There are a few things I want to do this winter, most of them are holidays related, but I also have a few goals I am going to work on in the next three months. That also means I am going to start working on my New Year’s resolutions. I have big plans for next year and I have this feeling it is going to be an amazing year and a lot of things will change in my life. But I am so ready for it.

Things I want to do this winter

Enjoying my holiday. I finally have two weeks off and I am going to enjoy it to the fullest. Because I can’t remember the last time I took time off from work. I don’t have a lot of plans for my holiday yet, but I made a few plans. I want to make ‘oliebollen’ which is a traditional Dutch snack you make and eat during the holidays. I think I also want to go shopping if the weather allows it.

Blogmas: Okay, this is something I’ve been working on for a while now but I always write blog articles at the very last minute. In November I decided to change that and that means I wrote most of the blog articles for December in November and that means I will be working on January posts in December. The good news is that I had so many ideas that there will be a blog post every single day this month.

Read books: I made a list of books I want to read this winter and of course, I will make time to read more books this season. In November I did not read many books, but I want to change that in December. I have two weeks off from work at the end of December, so then I will definitely have more time to read a bit more.

Dance, dance, dance: I always start working out but after a few days I get bored and I go back to my old habits. But I really want to get fit again. But there are several ways to get fit again and one of them is to dance around. I am just going to turn on the music and dance. Sounds like the perfect way to get fit and feel happier. I love to dance, but I haven’t done it in a while. But I am excited to start dancing again.

Work on my mental health: Normally you have to make your goals measurable and specific but I think that is impossible for mental health. I just want to feel more relaxed, worry less and make sure I take care of myself. I bought a diary for 2022 where I can write down the things I am grateful for every single day. But if I just feel a slight bit better than right now, I am happy. But I am definitely going to take more time off to focus on myself so I will enjoy life a little bit more. But I am very into self-improvement and the Law of Attraction and a lot of those people say if you want to live a different life, you have to change first. Because if you do the exact same things over and over again, you will get the same results. So that is the biggest reason why I am going to work on myself. It is scary but also very exciting. I definitely have to push myself in the beginning and it is not going to be very easy. But I am ready for it.

Go outside more often: Especially on the weekend I love to stay in and I only go outside when I have to do something. I am not a big fan of the cold, but somehow I can enjoy it if the sun is shining or when I make myself a warm cup of tea or hot chocolate when I come back home.

Watch Christmas movies: I hope that ‘Home Alone’ will be on tv on Christmas day because I haven’t seen that movie in a very long time and I kind of miss it. I am not sure why they are not airing that movie anymore because it is one of the best Christmas movies ever. Last year, the movies on tv were pretty boring so this year I hope for ‘Home alone’ , ‘Elf’ and ‘Frozen’. Those are the perfect movies to watch on a Christmas day.

Redecorate studio: My studio is still decorated with Christmas stuff and I will clean everything up at the beginning of the new year. But after that, I want to start redecorating. Maybe I will buy a few new pillows and plants to give it a new look. But this goal is more long-term since I will have my Christmas decorations up until the New Year.

Celebrate Christmas and New Year’s Eve: Somehow I am way more excited for New Year’s Eve because it feels like a fresh start. But I am also excited about Christmas. I can’t wait to do something fun for Christmas but I am taking it very slowly during the holidays. Nothing crazy. Christmas also means a day off for me and I still want to enjoy that. On the last day of the year, I am going to make ‘oliebollen’ and drink some fake champagne and we will probably watch the New Year’s edition of ‘The masked singer’

Get 100K followers on TikTok: I love setting big goals and currently (23rd November) I have 67 followers on TikTok but I want to grow my audience. This means I am going to create a lot of new videos, but I have a lot of great ideas. And some people say it is very easy to get 100K followers on TikTok. So I am going to try to achieve this goal. These are my goals and plans for the next three months. Most of them are pretty easy and I have one big goal but I am very excited to work on all of these things.
