The Kiss Quotient

Stella Lane is smart and does her job very well, she really loves her job and earns a lot of money with it. She works a lot, even on the weekends she likes to work. But that means she does not have a lot of time for a relationship, but that is also one of the things she is not good at. Since Stella has a lot of money, she decides to hire an escort, someone who can teach her things in bed. So far, the times she has been with guys were not so great. She did not enjoy it.
Michael is an escort, it was his only choice for him to make a lot of money, so he could help his family. His mother is dying from cancer and someone has to pay the bills. The first time Michael sees Stella, he thinks that she does not need her help. Normally, his clients are older and only want him for a fun night. He has one rule: never more than a few nights with the same woman because eventually they will become attached and they will stalk him to get him back. But the more time he spends with Stella, the more time HE wants to be with her.

Review

I think this book was interesting and good. Good because it was a cute love story, a forbidden love story since he is an escort and he can’t date his clients. That would make things really complicated. I thought this book was also interesting because it made me think. Yes, I even learn from reading books. I know someone who is autistic and I think this book can help me understand him more. Although, every person is different.

This book is definitely a book you can easily read in one day. It is enjoyable and easy to read, which is nice. Although, I have to admit that this might be another book with too much smut for my personal taste. I like a little bit of smut, but I am thinking this was a little bit too much. I bought this book over a year ago and I forgot about it. When I found it again on my e-reader I had no idea what the book was going to be about. On the other hand, what else can you expect when one of the main characters is an escort?

Two people annoyed the shit out of me though. First is Stella’s colleague. He tells Stella she needs to practise a little bit with different guys and when she does that, it is suddenly not okay. He wants her and kissed her without her consent. So he was disgusting. I also did not like Stella’s mother at the beginning, asking for grandchildren. Why are parents (and other people too sometimes) like that when their kid has reached a certain age? But she changed and said she just want Stella to be happy in the end. So she became a better person, I hope.

Back then, when I bought this book, I also bought the second book in this series, which is ‘The Bride test’ and that is going to be my next read. I believe it is also about an autistic person who is trying to find love. Can’t wait to read it, later tonight.

Was it the best novel I’ve ever read? No! But that was because for me there was a little too much sex in this book. But on the other hand, it definitely did not get boring at all. Michael was sweet and I loved the way he was treating her. That was really cute. I want someone who treats me like that too. Never settle for anything less. I also think diversity in books is important and I am happy I read this one. It can help people to understand other people.
