Books I want to read #3

The last time I shared a blog post about the books I want to read was in November, so it is definitely time for an update. Because my wishlist/TBR list is never-ending basically. Some of these books are a little bit older but I still haven’t read them and some of these books haven’t come out yet, but I already put them on my wishlist.

The last couple of weeks I’ve been trying to read more and almost every night, after I come home, I try to make time for it. It is a perfect way to end my day.

And of course, let me know what books you want to read in the comments.

Books I want to read

The midnight Library – Matt Haig
It is kind of hard to ignore this book because it is literally everywhere I go. It is so popular! The thing is that you can be disappointed easily because everyone is loving it and you will have high expectations. That is one of the reasons why I haven’t read it yet.

Synopsis: Nora’s life isn’t very easy but then at midnight on her last day on earth, she finds herself transported to a library. She gets the chance to undo her regrets and she gets the chance to try out each of the other lives she might have lived. What is the best way to live? (Amazon or Book Depository)

Bridgerton: the Duke and 1 – Julia Quinn
I think we all have heard of the Bridgertons by now. Thanks to Netflix Bridgerton is very popular again and people start to read the whole book series or rereading them. I am one of those people because I haven’t read the books yet but I loved the series on Netflix. Netflix already made me want to read the whole Virgin River series, but now I want to read the Bridgerton series too,

The first book is about Simon Basset and Daphne Bridgerton who are going to marry. Not because they are so in love with each other but because it is a part of their plan. They want to keep Simon free from marriage-minded society mothers and Daphne can attract worthy suitors who want to marry her. (Amazon or Book Depository)

Morgan Rogers – Honey Girl
I don’t have a specific reason why I want to read this book. I came across this book when I was making this list and I just knew I want to read it soon. And it is named as most anticipated of 2021 by Oprah Magazine. So it has to be good right?

About Honey Girl: Grace is 28 years old and goes on a girls’ trip to Vegas. Normally she wouldn’t do something crazy but this time she does. She gets drunk and gets married to a woman whose name she doesn’t know. Now, Grace is feeling burned out and she goes to New York for the summer with the wife she barely knows. (Amazon or Book Depository)

The Dating plan – Sara Desai
You probably already know I love romance books and I just can’t have enough of those books. So it was obvious to put this on my list too.

In The Dating Plan, Daisy and Liam are both single. Daisy’s family expects her to marry someone while Liam learns that his inheritance is contingent on being married. So they decide to start a fake relationship. But Liam was the one who broke Daisy’s heart 9 years ago when they both were teenagers. (Amazon or Book Depository)

Back in the burbs – Avery Flynn & Tracy Wolff
This hasn’t come out yet, but two authors worked together on this book. I think it is always interesting when two authors work together on a book. Or it could become a bestseller or it was a stupid idea. But I always like to try those books.

A woman lost everything after her soon-to-be ex-husband cheated on her. She has lost her apartment in New York City, her job, her money, and her dignity. And now her great-aunt Maggie passed away too. But Maggie left her house in the burbs to her. (Amazon or Book Depository)

People we meet on vacation – Emily Henry
Emily Henry also wrote Beach Read, which I still have to finish. But Beach Read was a very popular book last summer. And now she is back with another book.

About People we meet on vacation: Poppy and Alex have nothing in common. Poppy is a wild child and he wears khakis. Poppy loves to travel and he loves to stay at home. But somehow they became best friends. But then they ruined everything and they haven’t spoken since. Now Poppy realizes that the last time she was truly happy was when she was with him. She now has one week to fix everything. (Amazon or Book Depository)

The trouble with hating you – Sajni Patel
This book came out a year ago. I think I already know how this book is going to end, but it doesn’t matter because I really like these enemies to lovers’ books. I just can’t read enough of those books.

Liya has always fought against the role of women in her culture. She doesn’t want to become an Indian housewife. But her family is trying to force her to get married…. to Jayesh. Jay en Liya are trying to avoid each other but that is really hard because he got hired to rejuvenate Liya’s failing company. (Amazon or Book Depository)

Spoiler Alert – Olivia Dade
I already bought this book a while ago because it was on sale and now I can’t wait to read it. It sounds really cute.

Marcus is a huge TV show star but he also has a secret: he loves to write fan fiction. In this way, he releases his frustrations with the show but if anyone would find out, he would be fired.
April is a big fan of Marcus’s show and loves cosplay. When she dares to post her latest costume creation on Twitter, her plus-size take goes viral. And then Marcus asks her on to spite the critics but then quickly realizes that he wants much more from April than a one-time publicity stunt. (Amazon or Book Depository)

Parachutes – Kelly Yang
Okay, I was looking for new books to read and then I saw this book. I loved the cover and then I read the summary. In the first line, they mentioned Gossip Girl and I was sold. I loved Gossip girl!

It is about two girls navigating wealth, power, friendship, and trauma. The two girls are called parachutes because they are teenagers dropped off to live in private homes and study in the United States while their wealthy parents remain in Asia. Dani is determined to earn her way into Yale and Claire embraces her newfound freedom, especially when the hottest and most eligible parachute Jay asks her out. (Amazon or Book Depository)
