Tips for more positive energy


We all know someone who lights up the whole room when he or she enters. That one person that everyone likes and makes new friends easily. That person also has a natural glow. But don’t worry, you can be one of those people. You can get that nice natural glow. The only thing you need to get is more positive energy. Those people who can light up a whole room are glowing because they are beautiful from the inside.

Tips for more positive energy

Take care of yourself and be nice to yourself
If you take care of yourself and eat healthily and reduce stress, you will feel better. But you also radiate that positive energy. If you want to feel good, you have to work on the inside, not on the outside. That is something I always read when I read a self-improvement book. But those people who write that are right. You can have all the things in the world and still be unhappy on the inside. So be nice to yourself.

Ways to take care of yourself:
– Get enough sleep every night
– No phone or other screens before you go to bed
– Eat veggies and fruit
– Drink enough water
– Exercise daily
– Meditate
– Self-care day now and then

Use positive words
I am currently reading ‘How to win friends and influence people and that book is about how you talk to other people. In the first chapter, the author made it clear you have to be nice to people. So be nice and use positive words when you talk to someone else, whether in real life or online. People like to complain, but use your energy to say something positive.

But you also have to talk to yourself positively. You are not going to feel better when you say that you are too fat/thin or that you are ugly and boring to yourself. Are you doing this? Maybe you can try to use positive affirmations daily. Say how awesome you are. It can feel weird at the beginning, but after a month or so, you will feel better about yourself. Eventually, you will start believing those affirmations.

Gratitude
We always want to buy the latest trends and gadgets and we always want something better when we reached our goals. The grass looks greener on the other side. But because of that, we forget to appreciate the things we already have. Every single day, you can find several things to be grateful for. It can be a huge thing but also very small. Buy a notebook and write down the things you are grateful for every single day. You might have to think hard at the beginning, but eventually, it gets easier to find things to be grateful for. Eventually, you are focused on the positive side of life.

Work on your goals
If you have dreams or goals, you should work on them. I have two blogs for example and yes, it is a lot of hard work. But I enjoy doing it. So it doesn’t matter if I spend 20+ hours every single week working on my blogs besides my job. It gives me energy instead of it is taking energy from me. And you probably have dreams too. Work on it. Make time for it. And if you are not sure if it is what you really want, find out if it gives you positive energy or not. If it gives you more energy, then it is really your passion. Take step by step towards your dreams and enjoy the journey too. I think the journey is also very important. So make sure you enjoy it!

Start something
Whenever I start a new project, I get so much new positive energy and I love it. So figure out what your next project will be. Do you want to start a new business or do you want to learn a new language? Pick something you want to do. Especially at the beginning, you will feel excited. When it takes energy FROM you, you should quit.

Do something for someone else
When you do something for someone else, you will get positive energy. So look around you and find out who needs help. Maybe it is something small like giving someone directions. It doesn’t have to be big and you don’t have to give someone 1000 dollar/pound/euro to get that positive energy. Even bringing flowers for your wife/mother/friend is amazing. It doesn’t only give them a great feeling, but also you. So it is a win-win situation.

Give a compliment
I remember those times when strangers came up to me and complimented me. When someone says something like ‘I like your shirt’ it doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it can make a difference in someone’s day. I got a positive boost from getting those compliments. And the person who gave the compliment was happy too when she saw my smile.
I have to be honest, I am not great at giving a compliment. I don’t do it a lot. But I am working on it and so can you! Because it can make someones day and knowing that is an amazing feeling. But remember you really have to mean it.

Live in the present moment
I’ve read several books about mindfulness and how important it is to live in the present moment. Eckhart Tolle wrote about it in his book ‘The power of now and how important it is to become present if you want to be happy. And I agree with him. Have you ever been to a concert and you felt so happy? That was because you were living in the present moment. You were not thinking about the past or your future. It is something you have to learn, but it will be worth it. Read a book mindfully or really enjoy your lunch or dinner. You will get more positive energy from living in the present moment.

Be confident
The world looks different when you are confident. It feels like everything is beautiful and everything is working for you instead of against you. You radiate positive energy and you will attract other people/circumstances. I notice a huge difference in those days when I feel confident. It is another thing you have to work on, but it will be worth it.
