My goals for 2020

First of all, I want to wish you all a happy new year. I really hope you had a great evening/night with your friends and family. I can’t believe another year is over now. But that means it is also time again to share my goals for 2020 with you. And at the end of the year I look back and see how many goals I achieved.

My goals for 2020

Read 100 books

The last couple of years I didn’t read a lot of books, even though I really wanted too. I wasted a lot of time on the internet. But this year I set a reading goal for myself. I want to read 100 books in one year. That means I have to read around 2 books a week. Doesn’t sound too hard to me. Instead of watching Netflix in the evening, I just read a book before bedtime. And of course, I have enough time during the weekend for reading.

But that will also mean that I will publicise a lot more book reviews here on my blog.

Stop wasting time on the internet

At first, I wanted to make ‘Less screen time’ as my goals. But then I also realized that wasn’t my problem. My problem is that I waste my time on useless things. If I really want to achieve all of my goals in 2020, I have to stay focused. And that is why I can’t waste my time on things that are useless for me.

Improve my blog and social media channels

In 2020 I am going to make more time for my biggest dream, which is making content on social media (Instagram and YouTube) and my blog. This is the things I love doing the most. But I recently got a new job and since that moment I haven’t been able to make a lot of new content. That is going to change. I have to make a schedule for myself (and stick to it) so I can publish a blog post and an Instagram photo every single day. And I also want to make at least one video per week for my YouTube channel.

My goals in numbers:
– 50.000 followers on Instagram (currently have 26K)
– 10.000 subscribers on YouTube (currently have 86)
– 100.000 blog visitors

Write in my gratitude journal daily

When you feel more grateful and positive, you will attract more things to be grateful for. You attract what you are. I have a gratitude journal and this year I also want to focus on becoming the person I want to be. Which includes being more grateful and happier. And every now and then I am also going to share my gratitude lists with you on my blog and Instagram, so I can spread the happiness.

Work-out 3 times a week

This is also the part of becoming the person I want to be and that is more active. I am already more active than a couple of months ago. But now I want to build more strength and muscles. There are a lot of YouTube videos that you can use for a work-out at home and that is what I am going to do. I am not going to work-out every single day because that is not realistic for me right now. and three times a week is good enough for me.

Meditate at least three times a week

I honestly can’t remember the last time I did a meditation. And I love meditation. I just forget to make time for it. So I am going to bring my meditation sessions back. I want to meditate at least three times a week, but I don’t have to meditate for hours. Even 10 minutes is enough.

What are your goals for 2020?
