Last week when I was with my friend watching Netflix at her place, I saw something about Santa Clarita Diet. I’ve heard of it before, but I thought it was another bad show about a dieting and Hollywood. But when I was with my friend, I saw it was more a show about zombies and dead people. And you know how I love vampires, werewolves and zombies movies/shows. I had to try it. And maybe I did watch two seasons. I try not to spoil anything in this article.
About Santa Clarita diet
Joel and Sheila Hammond are everyday suburban real estate agents in Santa Clarita, California. The couple faces a series of obstacles when Sheila has a physical transformation into a zombie and starts craving human flesh. With Joel and the family trying to help Sheila through the trying time, they have to deal with neighbours, cultural norms and getting to the bottom of a potentially mythological mystery.
I have to be honest, the first episode was so strange. I was not believable at all. There was a lot of vomit and it was really disgusting. At first, they think she just vomited a lot, but somehow survived it. How can anyone vomit that much? But the second episode was better, thank god. Is it really the best show on Netflix? Absolutely not. It can be funny at some points, but it is also so weird. But Sheila can’t control herself at first and she wants to kill everyone. Together with her husband Joel, they decide to kill only bad people, people who deserve it. And how they know who is bad? They live next to cops and they just ask him. Funny how he gives all of the information to them, without asking why they want that information. They tell why they need it, but isn’t it strange that a cop gives them information like that. He should be more careful.
And of course, their daughter does not know how to handle these problems. Of course, she has Eric, from next door. He is the ‘nerd’ who knows everything about zombies and stuff like that. He is very smart and he even has to make a cure for this zombie thing. He is also the one who finds out that Sheila is undead.
After watching two seasons, I can already tell there is going to be another season. The new cop just found out that Sheila is undead and now she thinks that she is Jesus or something like that.
