About The One
This is the third book in the selection series. You can find the review of the first book here and the second book here. There are only a few girls left in the selection process. But the rebels attacks are getting worse and a lot of people die in this book. The Northern rebels are still rebels but they don’t kill anyone and they want to talk to Prince Maxon and America. Their goal is to eliminate the caste system with the help of Maxon and America. They want Maxon to choose America to be his future wife. Meanwhile, at the castle, the king is not very happy with America. He thinks she could never be a good queen in the future. America is still thinking about Maxon and Aspen. Which one does she like the most and should she tell Maxon that she had a relationship with Aspen back home?
A lot more action in this book. There were several rebels attacks before in the other books, but there is one deadly attack at the end of this book. I was shocked, but they killed a lot of people. Even some of the main characters. Which is also a huge plus, because a lot of writers are too scared to kill their main characters. Even when it is necessary for the story. The relationship between America and Maxon is still a rollercoaster, it has its ups and downs. A lot of ups and downs. At first Maxon was not sure either who he would pick as his future wife/queen. But in the end, he does so many things for just one girl that you know it is true love. Deep down it was true love right from the beginning. And I kind of loved their fights. Most of the time they were fighting because they felt insecure about their love, which was kind of cute.
America was not really my favourite character, probably because she was so insecure. She wanted to know if Maxon loved her at all. And even though she wasn’t my favourite character of all-time, it is one of my favourite love stories.
and can someone make movies about this book series, because I really need it.
