I can’t believe it is already October. It feels like yesterday when I shared my goals for September with you. Time flies when you are having fun apparently. But yes, today I am sharing my goals for October with you.
Looking back on September goals
Before I share my goals for October with you, I want to look back on September really quickly. September was all about mental health and self-care. And it was an amazing month mentally. Of course, I still had a couple of moments when I was not feeling amazing. But that is okay. You don’t have to be happy 24/7. I think that is impossible. But I felt great. I created a morning and evening routine. And it is really working for me. In the morning I spend the first hour of my day without a phone. And I just take time to eat breakfast and write in my journals. In the evening I read more, which help me to sleep better.
The thing I didn’t do in September was doing meditations. I did it a couple of times. But even without the meditations I already felt great. And maybe I was too ambitious with my goals for September. I wanted to change a lot of things about my life in a month.
My goals for October
And now it is October. Can’t believe how fast September went. I have been thinking about my goals for October a lot. Because of the corona. Since last Friday I live in an area which has the code orange. Not code red yet, but it is not safe either. The things nobody knows what is going to happen this month or the next few months. It is getting worse again, here in the Netherlands. So everyone is afraid of a new lockdown. So my goals are like ‘lockdown/corona’ proof. If a lockdown happens or we are getting other restrictions, I will still be able to do these things.
Update: we are in a semi-lockdown
Halloween theme
October is an amazing month. I really love autumn and Halloween. So instead of one day Halloween celebrations, I decided to do a full month of Halloween celebrations. Because why not?
So this month I will read more thrillers, watch more horror movies. But I will also write more Halloween themed blog posts and make more Halloween related videos.
Improve my English
I am going to improve my English. That means that I am going to focus on my grammar first and later I will learn a few new English words. I still have English grammar books from university, so I guess I can use those books to improve my grammar. But maybe I can also use Duolingo too.
Write blog posts daily
I always wrote my blog posts last-minute. But that means that when I get sick (like right now), I have a problem. Last week I didn’t publish anything new on my blog because I am not feeling well.
So I want to write more blog posts this month, so when I don’t feel great again next time, I have enough blog posts that I can publish.
Daily routines
As I said, I created two great routines in September. And if something is working for you, you don’t quit. So every morning I will spend the first hour of my day without a phone and in the evening I have enough time to read. Especially now, with the new corona restrictions here in the Netherlands.
What are your goals for October?
