About The Greatest Showman
Hugh Jackman Plays the role of P.T. Barnum. When he is a young boy, he is very poor but he meets Charity and they immediately fall in love with each other. He promises her a good life. Years later they got married and they got two beautiful girls. One day P.T. comes home from work early. Everyone got fired.
But that is also the start of something new, something beautiful. He starts his own business with his own show: Barnum circus with extraordinary people. He becomes a successful showman and people loved him or hated him. But when he becomes more successful than ever, he forgets what really is important in life: His wife and children. He cared only about his success and money.
I decided to watch The Greatest Showman for the second time when I saw it came on tv. I remember the first time that my expectations were very high because I’d heard all of the stories of people who already had seen the movie. But I also remember I wasn’t let down, even though my expectations were very high. The movie was even better!
The choreography and the songs (and the message) are just absolutely amazing. I mean, every single movement is just perfect. My favourite scene is the scene with Hugh Jackman and Zac Efron when they sing the song ‘the other side’. The choreography and the music fit so well together that it really made me smile. I used to be a dancer and I wish we had danced performances like this. This is probably my favourite musical movie with the best music. I still listen to the music from the movie almost every single day.
The storyline is a little weak, but somehow I don’t care. It is still worth it. But that is the only reason why I give this movie a 4.5 out of 5 stars instead of 5 out of 5. The movie itself was very powerful and upbeat. It gave me the feeling that I can achieve anything I want and I can!
