About Always be my Maybe

A pair of childhood friends ruined their friendship after they had sex for the first time together. Many years later they meet each other again. Sasha is pretty successful these days and Marcus still lives at home, working for his dad. He thinks that his dads need him. They start to hang out again and their feelings are coming back.

Review

I think it was two weeks ago that I decided to stop writing reviews about Netflix movies. Mostly because the movies were so boring. The only Netflix movies I really enjoyed were: bird box and To all the boys I’ve loved before.
This weekend a friend told me that she watched Always be my maybe and she said that she liked it. So I decided to give it a chance. And yes! I can finally add another Netflix movie to my list that I liked.

There was one scene that was just too stupid. It is the scene where Marcus is peeing on stage. And the awkward thing is that Randall Park who plays Marcus wrote the script. Why would you do that to yourself? It wasn’t even necessary because that scene was useless and stupid.

But overall I just enjoyed watching this movie. It is not one of those movies I want to see over and over again, but it was just fine. I didn’t have the feeling that I was wasting my time.

I also want to give Netflix some credits because I really like that they don’t always use white Americans for their movies if you know what I mean. The cast is also pretty good and divers. Definitely, a reason why I prefer watching Netflix instead of Hallmark movies (even though I am addicted to those movies too). Hallmark always uses the same kind of people.

Fun fact: Keanu Reeves (from those John Wick movies) appears in the movie too.
