About When We First Met
It is 2014 and Noah spends the perfect first night with Avery, the girl of his dreams, but gets relegated to the friend zone the same night. He spends the next three years wondering what went wrong – until he gets the unexpected chance to travel back in time and alter that night – and his fate – over and over again. He is trying to get the girl of his dreams.
I have to admit that I thought it would be another shitty Netflix movie. I saw the trailer and I wasn’t convinced that this would be a good movie. But it was better than I expected. Acting was good and it was entertaining and even funny sometimes.
I have seen a couple movie with characters who relive the same day over and over again (before I fall, 2017). And the the book of before I fall was good, but the movie wasn’t. Apparently it is pretty hard to make the movie not boring. But everytime Noah travels back in time, the story is totally different. First time he is trying to be mr. perfect and later he is being a completely asshole. Sure it was cliche at moments and you could basically predict the plot if you’re an movie lover, but I don’t think that takes away from the movie in general. But don’t expect an award-winning movie. Go watch this with an open-mind.
I see it gets a 6.5 on IMDB at the moment, and I have to agree with that. It is not a bad movie, but it is not great either.
